The primary venues are the Nikola Vaptsarov Drama Theater, the Opera and the
Municipal Puppet Theater. The large Pejo Yavorov Hall hosts guest theater productions, concerts, and stand-up comedy shows
several times a month.
You can also attend performances by theater students at both the Southwest University and the American University in Bulgaria.
Most productions are in Bulgarian, but festival shows and guest performances may include English subtitles or non-verbal acting styles. The performances at the American University in Bulgaria are presented in English.
