Find out where to park in Blagoevgrad, how the Blue Zone system works, and where paid parking areas are located.
In the central part of Blagoevgrad, there is a “Blue Zone” – a designated area where parking is paid. On the map above, you can see which streets are included in the Blue Zone (note: San Stefano Street, which leads to the hospital, is not shown on the image above but has recently been added to the Blue Zone).
To pay, you can send an SMS (from a Bulgarian mobile operator) with your car’s license plate number to 1373, or you can pay directly to an on-site parking attendant (recognizable by a yellow vest). The price is 2 BGN per hour starting from 01.02.2025. Parking is allowed for a maximum of 3 hours.
The Blue Zone operates Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00, and Saturday from 09:00 to 15:00. On Sundays, the Blue Zone is not active, and parking is free throughout the area.
